Brainspotting Brainspotting is a cutting-edge mind-body therapy developed out of EMDR in 2003 by Dr. David Grand. Through observation of the patients eye gaze, the therapist locates a spot in the brain that hold troubling issues. The therapist can focus on the activated spot to release emotional blockages and help to process the locked emotions.
Brainspotting is also used very effectively for Peak Performance Enhancement to find and strengthen the client's natural resources and resilience. As a therapeutic tool it is easily integrated with other therapies. Brainspotting taps into and harnesses the body's natural self-scanning and self-healing abilities. Where you look affects how you feel. To find out more about Brainspotting, here is a link to a video of Dr. David Grand explaining how Brainspotting works titled "What is Brainspotting". |
